About Middle Earth

Home to over 75 competitors from ages 4-60.  Local competitions are held throughout N. Michigan at Boyne Resorts, Nub’s Nob, Shanty Creek, Crystal Mountain and our newest resort for 2009, Otsego Club.

Middle Earth Snow Series hosts 5 weekend long events each year. The events are intended to promote the sport of snowboarding, be fun for the competitors of all abilities, develop athletic skills, and be the qualifiers for national and international competition. Each year Michigan will be represented at USASA National Championships with over 25 qualified competitors.  Bringing home many top 10 national champions! 

 

The United States of America Snowboard (and freestyle skiing) Association, founded in 1988, believed that by forming a national association for snowboard and free-skiing competitors, rules of competition that are standardized, and hosting local and annual national championships this rapidly growing sport could be preserved and flourish.
